Frequently Asked Questions

  • How many images are included?

That's a hard one as a general question because I do all types of photoshoot. The number depends on the type of photoshoot, shoot times and number of looks you have selected. I'll be sure to make this clear once you've selected an interest in one of my packages.

  • Can we have the RAW images?

I'm sorry to say but the answer will always be no. The truth is that a RAW file is actually an unfinished product.  It’s not directly usable – it needs to be edited.  How a photographer edits a photo is a part of their artistic identity.  When you hire a photographer to capture your images, you’re choosing them because you like how their final product looks.

  • How do payment schedules work?

The Client makes a non-refundable retainer in the amount of 50% of their total package selection in order for the Photographer to perform the services specified. Once the retainer is paid, I will reserve the time slot and date agreed upon by both parties. The final 50% balance of the photography package is due the week before photo session packages and a month before wedding packages, with no exceptions. Payments are accepted in the form of Paypal, Venmo or Cash.

Any payment plan agreements agreed to by Photographer and Client shall be included as an addendum to the agreement. No products shall be delivered until the entire amount is paid in full.

  • Can you Photoshop us to look skinnier/have clear skin/etc?

It is my method to pose each client strategically to promote outstanding images regardless of a client's insecurities. I will also utilize my standard retouching practices to enhance the images that will be presented to the client.

Standard retouching includes general color correction, contrast, sharpening, gentle skin smoothing, minor blending of stretch marks, minor blemish removal,
gentle under-eye smoothing and blending, and only minor body manipulations caused by pose (i.e. a small chin tuck if I am photographing the client from below, or small waist cinches when the clothing is causing a widening of the waist, etc).

Things like tattoos, scars, moles/beauty marks, major stretch marks, total body reconstructions are not included in standard retouching but can be requested at an additional charge per image. There is a $10 fee per photo for additional retouching requests after delivery of photos has been made.

  • What should I wear for photos?

Once you have chosen a date we can finally get to the good stuff, fashion, dahhling. I'll be sending over a wardrobe guide, photoshoot prep guide and much more to make sure you are thoroughly prepared and excited for your shoot.

    I touch on everything i
n this wardrobe guide you'll need to really make your photos pop against your location's backgrounds. We'll go over patterns, textures and colors that work together and photograph well. We're telling a story in your photographs so its very important to make sure the wardrobe works with the locations and photoshoot concept.

You have no idea how much wardrobe can make or break a shoot! But worry not if you have as much fashion as a flag pole, for I will be your Fairy Guide Mother every step of the way. You will be looking and feeling amazing on shoot day.

  • What if we need to cancel or reschedule?

In the event that the Client requests to reschedule a photo shoot, the retainer shall be applied to a rescheduled shoot date provided notice is given at least 48 hours prior to the originally scheduled shoot. Reschedules must be within the same calendar year.

Any Client that is late arriving to the event will have the amount of time late deducted from the time allotted for the event. Clients shall not be compensated for the time deducted from the event due to late arrival of the Client.

In the event that the client is beyond 30 minutes late for their scheduled time slot, the shoot is subject to cancellation without a refund by the Photographer as some times photo shoots are booked backed to back.

  • What happens if you can’t make it to our Photo Shoot or Wedding?

My agreement states, "The Photographer maintains the right to reschedule if needed due to inclement weather, illness, emergency, etc. at no additional costs to the Client, to a mutually agreed upon rescheduled date".

Obviously this doesn't work in a wedding or special event situation. So, in the event that I have and "Act of God" emergency and cannot make it to your wedding or special event, I will do everything in my power and network of photographers to replace myself with a mutually agreed upon photographer.

  • What if we need to reschedule our shoot to weather?

I can shoot in all types of weather scenarios as long as you're down, it's safe for us and I'm not compromising my camera. We'll keep an eye on the weather and decide together if it would be best to agree upon a new shoot date, at no extra charge to the client and/or the photographer. But if it's overcast or a little rainy, let's rock it! I've gotten some of my best shots in that weather.
