Your Photographer: Kinsey Vallier

Hey ya’ll! I’m Kinsey Vallier, a Photographer living and playing in sunny Southern California with my three dogs. After years of honing my skills in Photography and Image Retouching, I would say my style of photography encapsulates a film aesthetic true to my love of old Hollywood films and vintage photographs. Steering clear of the traditional posed photography shots, I prefer lots of movement and emotion in my images. Allowing the subject to truly be themselves in front of the camera with gentle guidance. My attention to detail, strong work ethic and focus on creating the best images anyone has ever seen of themselves has led me to work with brands and boss ladies all over the world. When I’m not looking through a lens I’m usually biking the California Coast, eating Mexican food or taking my dogs for a stroll on the beach.

The Experience 

VISION

Whatever the vision for the shoot, I produce images that tell a story with the subject and the surrounding as the main focus. I carefully select locations by looking at color schemes, landscapes and my very own, homemade "eyeball" rating system. I coach my clients to bring out real emotion in their body language and expressions while still keeping it relaxed and natural. I love to get a cohesive collection of emotions and tiny moments. But what I really want for my client's at the end of the day is to have the most bomb ass photos they've ever seen of themselves...courtesy of yours truly.

COMMUNICATION

Communication and chemistry is important.  The relationship between the client and photographer will absolutely have an effect on your final images and sometimes your psyche . Being uneasy with a photographer is a kind of discomfort I wouldn't wish on anyone. For a person or couple, it's a very intimate moment letting their guard down and trusting (essentially) a stranger to capture these raw intimate moments of you in a good light...no pun intended .  

Being on the same page is important and that's why I want to connect with you and know what you envision for the shoot. I want to share Pinterest boards and tag each other in Instagram for style ideas. I want to see the photos that catch your eye and hear what drew you most to them. I want to walk you through every step of preparation and expectations because I know these are all the things I would want, too. Basically, I want to be your side-bitch bff for the whole experience...maybe even longer, if you'll have me. (flutters eyelashes)

PHOTOSHOOTS

No two photoshoots are made the same and everyone vibes differently. Sometimes it's hard to let go of nerves when you have a giant camera pointing at your face. Don't get shaky though, I'm going to coach you and get you comfortable in front of the camera. There is nothing too silly or shameless I won't do to get the shot.

IN THE END...

It’s going to fly by and you're going to walk away from the whole experience wanting to do it all over again. And it’s all been worth it because you are going home with beautiful images to last lifetimes.
