The making and moving of Kinsey

Hello there, whomever you, wherever you are...my name is Kinsey and this is my very first blog post. So save your brain, boredom and dignity, and leave now if you know what's good for you. Seriously though, now you can't send me hate emails about my elementary writing and lack of charm and charisma because you've been warned. I guess I will try to delve in to a little bit about my life, my dogs (who pretty much ARE my life) and my goals moving forward in year 30 of my existence. 

First up, chat room bio; age, sex and location. Well, I turned 30 years old on October 17th this year! I totally thought I was going to have this Teen Witch moment where I magically became this powerful, chic, sexually empowered woman that had all my ducks lined up and all the answers to the universe. There was no squatty fairy godmother, no vintage necklace with magical powers, just an ache in my back the next morning and a laundry list of shit that still needed to be taken care of. See, at this time, a few months ago, I had two weddings I had just produced, three photoshoots I was behind on editing, the event planner for the Austin Film Festival AND selling everything I owned and love to move to another country, that I had never been to. You could say there was a lot on my plate so the 30th birthday was kind of a relief to get out of the way. 

I was living in my hometown of Austin, Texas when all of this was taking place. My boyfriend and I had been living together for 2 years when we came to a self-induced crossroads that September. We were ready for a lifestyle change and with our lease ending in November, we were set on one of two places, San Francisco, California or Mar Del Plata, Argentina.  You'll come to find about me that my happy place is SF. If I could be anywhere in the world at any given moment, I will always choose San Francisco. And then we had the beautiful beach city of Mar Del Plata, Argentina, which is the hometown of my love. With him being an engineer and I being a photographer, both locations were heavy contenders since we can work from anywhere. We jointly decided on Mar Del Plata, Argentina! I couldn't be happier with the decision either. The people, the food, the wine, the ocean, all of it is out of this world!

Today marks exactly one month since I first set foot in Argentina! My plan with this new blog spot is to show how a Target loving, Iced Latte addict and Queso Queen is adjusting to life in another country. I am like the ultimate white bitch and this journey has been an eye opener for sure. I have SOOOOO much to tell ya'll! There is a world of differences over here. Like, my boyfriend had to teach me how to use a bidet, ya'll. That makes for an interesting relationship milestone. Anyways, I'll talk to ya soon, I just found an article on Starbucks possibly opening in Mar Del Plata!
